About Hicksville Online

Hello Hicksville, Ohio!

Welcome to Hicksville Online. I had a dream to create a resource for the town of Hicksville that would bring the people together and create an even greater sense of community by making it possible for anyone in Hicksville to easily communicate with anyone else in Hicksville.

Citizens could use Hicksville Online to ask questions, get help, help others, express opinions, share information, tell stories, and even find a job.

City officials could use the Hicksville Online forums to keep us informed and get feedback from the townspeople. The police could use it to alert us to danger and ask for our help in solving crimes.

Businesses could use Hicksville Online to find employees and advertise their products and services.

That dream was not realized. I received a few posts in the forums and the classified ads from the good citizens of Hicksville, but mostly I got spam from Russian sleazbags. So I took down the forums and the classifed ads.

Now my mind is addled with an insane desire for revenge and I labor late into the night at a secret undisclosed location deep in the bowels of Hicksville plotting and scheming and designing my strategy of shock and awe which I will soon unleash on an unsuspecting world.

P.S.
Have a nice day!

Update:
Apparently, the above statements have created a panic, with people calling the police, and even one citizen calling for the town to be evacuated! Rest assured, good citizens of Hicksville, there is no reason for alarm. Your police are on the ball, working to protect you. They are thoroughly investigating me.

Do not be alarmed, there is no danger. No, the revenge and shock and awe that I spoke of are not anything physical, but rather I was referring to a new website I have under development to serve and entertain the people of Hicksville. This new website will allow citizens to contribute, yet will have defenses to keep out the sleezbag Russian spammers peddling their products, most of which cannot be mentioned in decent society.

As for the "shock and awe," to be honest, I do not expect that you will be shocked by anything on the new website, but I hope that you will find it to be "awesome." The revenge that I spoke of was in reference to the spammers, who I'm sure will be terribly disappointed by their inability to spam the good citizens of Hicksville.

Work on the new website has been delayed by my lack of funds for a decent internet connection.
